It is possible to use any LEGO® bricks that you have at home for this session.  However, this is not advised. The bricks that are chosen by LEGO® for the purposes of this methodology are specially selected because of their metaphorical characteristics.  The best way to use the methodology is to purchase the right LEGO® brick sets that are available from the LEGO® online store:

• Starter Kit– that’s the main one we recommend. 
• Identity and Landscape Kit – this is the big one and most expensive. But it is the most complete set if you need to use it in a larger group. 
• Exploration bag – an alternative.

LEGO® doesn’t certify any courses. Even if a provider tells you that they do, they in fact do not.

However, to put your mind at ease, know that our courses are designed and delivered by facilitators with over 15 years’ experience in applying the methodology globally.

We are experienced in both delivery in sessions and workshops in all sectors. We also train other facilitators – in fact we have trained over 1000 consultants, coaches, facilitators, trainers, scrum masters and more!

You most certainly will! In order to receive your official certificate, you need to submit two assignments. You provide us with a session plan and we give you feedback on what you have done. You then do a short video of yourself facilitating and we again provide you with feedback.

And then you receive your certificate and badge to proudly place on LinkedIn and on your CV.

With both options, you receive your certificate as a facilitator of the LEGO® Serious Play® process.

The second option offers a deeper dive into the methodology. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through the use of more complex techniques, planning and resources.

In order to receive your official certificate, you need to submit two assignments. You provide us with a session plan and we give you feedback on what you have done. You then do a short video of yourself facilitating and we again provide you with feedback.

At the moment we only offer our course in English. However, in order to submit your assessments, you only have to do the written assignment in English.

You can do the video assignment in your own language as long as it follows the same sequence as your session plan.

It is completely possible for each participant to use the bricks to build their own individual models as they would during an in-person session. 

Picture what this would look like:

Each person grabs a handful of their bricks and starts to build a model that includes an expression of their ideas and points of view.

They then take turns to hold up their models to the camera and tell the story of what they have built.

There are 10 online modules + 2 assignments. The amount of hours really depends on the pace of each student. But most people complete our course within 3 months.

You can also book a live Q&A session with our facilitator to clarify any questions you might have towards the end of the course.

We believe the main difference is that, with us, you can do the course at your own pace and time and fit it into your busy agenda. You’ll also have 12 months access to resources, including videos and downloadable templates to harness the incredible power of this innovative process. So you can watch and revisit as many times as you want, something that you are not able to do at a live/F2F course.

Finally, we have videos of live sessions in action that the face to face doesn’t do.There are advantages obviously to both – ours is however affordable and our results have been excellent with many facilitators globally now trained up in this way to use the methodology.

You can complete the course within one year (12 months), but most people complete it within 3 months. You only have two assignments at the end of the course: a written session plan and a video assignment of yourself applying the methodology.

Most of our students complete the course in 3-5 months. If you think you need more time, we will charge a nominal amount of $50 at the end of the 12^th month.

There is no official membership organisation for the use of the LEGO Serious Play method.  Various membership bodies have sprouted up over time but LEGO as an organisation does not recognise any of them.

Each organisation claims to be ‘official’ and yet none of them is.  There is in fact no official certification for the use of the LEGO Serious Play method.

Choose to study with a provider that suits your needs in terms of the way in which you prefer to learn – and of course your budget.
